Chapter History

In August 2014, a group of fifteen committed alumnae women started an interest group for the sole purpose of nationally establishing an alumnae chapter for the University of Georgia.

The establishing members include:
Manida “SoBe” Chinratana, Victoria “Juicy” Huynh, Amanda “Lyriq” Luong, Stephenie “Remedi” Lai, Diana “Demure” Bui, Amanda “EPIC” Le,Tracey “Emphasis” Eng, Emily “Saphira” Luong, Karla “Rumour” Tuten, Michele “Helix” Chan, Christina “ICON” Shin, Jaleesa “Aspire” Reed Andrea “Risqué” King, Yvonnette “Resolute” Lewis, Hannah “Venture” Hubbard.

They have created a resource for alumnae to reconnect with the sorority after graduation. They encourage alumnae to participate and become involved in things that they find enjoyable as women with professional careers, families and other personal obligations. At the 2015 National Convention, their dedication prevailed and the UGA Alumnae Chapter of Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. was officially established.

Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. advocates Asian awareness and empowers women leaders through its values-based programs and everlasting sisterhood.

The University of Georgia Alumnae Chapter will be the resource for graduated, dedicated alumnae by maintaining sisterhood virtues, building a strong support network, fostering a collaborative environment and serving as mentors for the collegiate chapter.
